Joanna Claydon-Voyce
Partner, Cayman Islands
Joanna is a partner with over 20 years of corporate legal experience. Having qualified in the corporate and investment funds group at Herbert Smith. Joanna was seconded to their Hong Kong and then Bangkok office, with overall responsibility for the corporate division.
Returning to London, Joanna advised on high-profile corporate M&A transactions before moving to Union Bancaire Privée, UBP S.A., to establish their legal department and serve as General Counsel and Head of Legal Compliance.
During her 10 years at UBP, Joanna was responsible for the legal structuring and compliance aspects of all business conducted by the UBP UK-regulated entities. Joanna’s experience spans a broad range of retail private and institutional banking, and corporate and regulatory matters, including commercial and retail real estate lending, and institutional asset management.
Joanna advises many of the Islands’ leading and high profile businesses spanning a broad range of practice areas including, general corporate advisory and structuring, local licensing matters, banking and insurance regulation, AML/CFT and financial services regulation including economic substance, FATCA/CRS and data protection.
