Shameer, most recently a Consultant to the Firm , who formerly practiced with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and then with another leading offshore law firm, now steps up to join us as a Principal to head up the newly established New Zealand office, in Auckland.
Shameer brings to the firm significant expertise from his years of practice in the Cayman Islands with over 22 of years’ experience, specifically in advising Cayman Islands hedge and private equity funds and investment managers on all aspects of open and closed end fund structuring, formation and ongoing governance and regulatory requirements.
Shameer also regularly advises strategic and seed investors on pre IPO financing and advises on acquisitions, joint ventures and a wide range of other corporate and intellectual property law matters.
